Through the Cracks Series

Through the Cracks is a small series of batik works on cotton, 45 × 45 cm, created using a crackle technique.

The pieces reflect moments in life when we feel vulnerable, fragile, or close to breaking. Yet through those cracks, something unexpected can emerge — beauty, clarity, and a quiet sense of guidance.

In the batik process, the cracks allow colour to enter in unpredictable ways. For me, this became a reminder that the places where we feel broken can also become openings for transformation.
